Where have I been? (I wanted four kids? Really?)

Well, where have I been? I looked yesterday and my last blog post was April 26, 2013. Today is Sept. 25, 2013. So, what gives? 5 months without a post is just ridiculous, but luckily, all of my clients did receive their pictures on time. I just couldn't find the time to post about them.
My wife and I just had our fourth child (seriously, FOUR!), and we are both coaching soccer. That is, coaching soccer for two different teams. It's not we are coaching the same team, that would be too easy.
So, I really can't afford to go that long without posting anything again, and I won't again. But, that being said, shit is crazy with four children. We were not blessed with quiet children who don't fight with each other. I had to go to the DMV recently and as I was sitting there waiting patiently, I was observing this mom and her two children, probably ages 3 and 1, and they were just keeping to themselves, quietly. Mine would NEVER do that. No matter what I threatened or bribed them with. They all have different needs, different wants, and different personalities. I have a button pusher, a drama queen, an alpha male, and a newborn who figured out in her first two weeks that she wants mommy to hold her. Every second of every day. Nothing else will do.  Actually, the only thing they want that is in common is YOU, and you can't possibly give them all individual attention at once.
I think where I have been, and all I can come up with is this: The Crazy House. Don't misunderstand me, though. I love and adore my children. They are so much fun and have amazing personalities. They can bring to my eyes tears of joy almost instantly and no matter how bad a day I've had, one hug and an "I love you, daddy" makes everything better. Also, that glass (or two) of wine waiting for me at the end of the day helps!
Everyday may be complete and utter chaos, but my wife and I have a term for our current state: beautiful chaos. Because that's what it is. Beautiful and chaotic, all wrapped up in one family of six.
